Damn, Bob! When you're right, you're right!
Fantastic report, Kristinn. Congrats to all faithful FReepers who were there!
Thanks but we ain't Catholic. We are Methodist like the President. We thought the National Cathedral would be cool.
Now if we can just find good cheap restaurants besides the Clinton McDonalds.
Kristinn, THANKS to all of you that showed support for our military and their families! God bless each of you.
'Someone in Iraq heard from us today..'
WO4Man, you did GOOD!
' I sure wish I lived near there...'
Me too, Dolly! I keep telling my husband I wnat to move to D.C....I would be so proud to join the Friday night freeps in front of Walter Reed......AND, I would visit some Senators EVERY DAY! The D.C. Freepers are awesome!
How did you make out the rest of the day?
The wreath (40-something, actually) presentation at the Vietnam Memorial was very moving. Tears were pouring down my cheeks at one point.
I am very sorry I didn't get there, but it just didn't work out. Look for FReepmail shortly.
That's ok.
My favorite photo is the one of our President and First Lady reading the signs. WOW! I'm sure it was a balm to their hearts as well as to the families who came to respect our fallen.
WELL DONE, all!
Congratulations! The best to both of you. Hope to meet her sometime at Walter Reed.
None of these people seem to have jobs. Freepers should confront him about who is funding his activities.

"I've heard more than a few suggest they are really lefties pretending to be "right wing" to make us look bad."
I've heard that too, but I don't think so. It would be too elaborate a charade to keep up for long, plus traveling all over the country insulting people in the cruelest way imaginable - no, I just don't buy it. But there's definitely something more than meets the eye here. I've been trying to figure out if they're doing it for money...that would make sense, although if that's the case, they should be shot for dragging their children into it.
Not to sound like a hippie or anything, but if there's anything to Karma, these people have got a seriously nasty future ahead of them, no matter WHAT the reason is behind it - hatred of their fellow man or love of money.
Hi Kristinn.
Good job, as always.
I have a question related to the Memorial service at Arlington on Memorial Day. During the Retiring of the Colors at the end of the service, the Marine Band played a song that I recognize from 25 years ago, when I was in Marching Band.
I don't know the name of the piece, and I have not been able to get a copy of the service program from anyone...not even the Internet. I'm wondering, since you were in the area, do you have - or can you get - a copy of the music that they played at the Retiring of the Colors? I'd appreciate it.
I never saw this post until today. Sorry to be late, but God Bless every one of you, and thank you.
