Re- commanders. Reportedly some 3-4 officers have been relieved/fired. Official version of matters seems to be that none of them had to do with the incident, directly, but supposedly "dereliction of duty."

The USMC's public statement said that two company commanders and a battalion commander (One captain and one Lt. Col. in the direct chain of command of the unit in question) had been relieved for cause. The reason given was "We have lost confidence in their ability to command."

That is, of course, a career-ending move even if further investigation clears the officers but the command had to do it.
