Doesn't Maryland have a death penalty? Maybe the murders didn't fit the state's "special circumstances" criteria.
or at least a new trial, based on the fact that he has a muslim name, and therefore must be oppressed, and expected to act out.

Legal question: how can this guy be tried, convicted, and sentenced twice for the same crimes in two different jurisdictions?
I think they are different crimes-- this trial was for the murders committed in this jurisdiction.

this is something which, now and then, troubles me about our legal system...
these two killers were caught in the vicinity...
in the modified ambush car...
with the weapon used in the comission of multiple assaults and murders...
all forensic evidence pointed to their guilt...
so, really: why has it taken so very long to try and sentence these perps? why are they both still breathing my air?
absolutely my Lige... isn't he already tried and convicted and sentenced to death else where, like in the first trial??? he should already be warming up the hotseat or whatever ride he's scheduled to take and quit all this foolishness.
you can only kill him once and where he's being tried now doesn't even have the death penalty do they???
Virginia should hang him - le tthe other interested states drag out the old "posthumous trial in absentia"
