Thus they have sown, thus they are reaping. He who sows the wind shall reap the whirlwind.

They should feel unsafe. They aren't allowed to defend themselves.

I'm still waiting for the idiots there to secede from the US and be their own city state. They'll be MUCH safer then.

Perhaps they should hire Ruger, Smith and Wesson to protect them.

One more study / poll / report. Still no action. Conviction and incarceration of perpetrators is the topic that dare not be mentioned. That's b/c there's no (grant) money in that.

Nearly half of San Francisco residents feel unsafe or somewhat unsafe from crime, especially while riding public transit... Leftists want to make everyone take public transit, and so make driving more difficult (carpool lanes) and more dangerous (refusing to upgrade two-lane undivided roads). Meanwhile, public transit is full of bums and deviants.

San Franciscans do feel unsafe but only because of all of the filth, the crime, the criminals, the violence, the hostility, and the complete lack of street-level law enforcement. Other than all that there's no problem, really. Except for the impossibly high property values, the astronomical taxes, the decrepit and dangerous and failing public schools, the filthy and unreliable public transportation, the bloated and ineffectual local government, and the high cost of everything.

Your solution is the most sensible, hence it is mostly illegal in CA. You can rob, rape and pillage with impunity, but if you get caught carrying a concealed handgun for self-defense, all bets are off!

The last DA, Terrance Hallinan, was a former defense attorney who was accustomed to arguing why people weren't guilty, not why they should be convicted. The current DA refused to try for the death penalty for a recent cop killer.

"protection" in Eurofrisco means a condom to 90% of the public.

Nearly half of San Francisco residents feel unsafe or somewhat unsafe from crime, especially while riding public transit, according to a new survey funded by The City. I didn't realize there was a high risk of unwanted sodomy on S.F. public buses. I know I wouldn't ride on the bus if I couldn't sit down on a seat.

Most beautiful city on earth? You've never been to Sarasota, Florida apparently.
