"There is accusations to that effect, not probable cause"

There's probable cause.

"And so the theory that they just went on a rampage has "legs" to you."

There's 2 families all shot to hell and no answers. My theory of justice requires sufficient justification for the action.

The probable cause, as far as I can tell consists of leaks, Iraqi witnesses and Murtha. I trust the Coalition spokeswoman more than the any of these. Like I said, she may be mistaken, but then again, so could Murtha, right?

Correct. NO answers. Hence my utter frustration with molding answers to fit the left wing agenda.

I think you're mistaking opinions based on probable cause with the probable cause itself.

"molding answers to fit the left wing agenda."

I see molding for agendas all over. Do you think it's limited to just the left wing? Does world Nut Daily, or the Wash Times do this?

The fact that there is an investigation tells me its being taken seriously, and warrants scrutiny. If they charge a marine with murder, then I will accept that there was probable cause. Until then, I do not accept the sources who leak to Time or Murtha.

Yes, WND certainly molds the news to fit their agenda. (not a fan, BTW). Yet they, like NR, Newsmax, Weekly Standard, and every other right leaning publication states their agenda. Just as Rush Limbaugh cannot be compared to Tom Brokaw. One is an avowed conservative commentator, the other is ostensibly a non-partisan newscaster. Surely you see the difference. The liberal MSM is crumbling, but has a few years left before most go belly up or adapt. But they will continue to inflict falshoods and damage upon our great country on the way out.

Probable cause was the justification for the investigation. The investigation will lead to other additonal, substantial results which would justify some action.

"a non-partisan newscaster."

I've never seen one. I identify the non-partisan with liberal. That's, because the data tell me it's a valid conclusion.

Probable cause to INVESTIGATE, yes. Probable cause to assume the worst, like the MSM has done. Nope.

Agreed. Hence the word obstensibly.

I think we beat this horse enough. I assume, that despite being convinced that this is not looking good for our Marines, that you join me in hoping that the truth exonerates them.

"I assume, that despite being convinced that this is not looking good for our Marines, that you join me in hoping that the truth exonerates them."

My primary concerns and hope are that justice is served, the honor of the Corps remains unblemished and the survivors find peace with that and their grievous wounds heal. Secondly, I would hope the investigation reveals the actions demonstrated an adherence to the code of conduct, the laws of war and the profesional skills expected of them.

I've collected those items which I've called and should be relevant facts. It now appears only the paymnet made stands. Time should have been able to get these facts from the mil with no problem.

The first one regards the intial report of the incident. It turns out that the number of people killed total that day was correct. The number of people killed after the bomb went off in the houses was correct (15). The number of people killed in the firefight later is correct at 8. Time flat out lied that they talked to any military authority at all about this. The made it up!

This article makes it clear that the military never claimed the civilians died in the IED blast, at any point whatsoever.

Story of Lance Cpl Miguel Terrazas death.

This BS from Time is a flat out filthy lie. All the other stories are based on the BS from this story.

"The probe concluded that the civilians were in fact killed by Marines and not by an insurgent's bomb and that no insurgents appeared to be in the first two houses raided by the Marines."

The claim that they have pics showing no bullet marks outside the house is also false.

There's no true fact in the Time article whatsoever, other than payment being paid for the deaths.

It was a joint US/Iraqi patrol. This article also proves the Times article is entirely fabricated. They never even talked to the mil about what happened in the original incident. They made that up.

"Recent reporting on the events in Haditha, Iraq have included significant factual errors and/or misleading statements.
This includes a quote attributed to me in the Washington Post this morning that was taken completely out of context and its meaning distorted. Many facts that are favorable to the Marines involved have not yet been disclosed."

Quote from retired Brig. Gen. David M. Brahms.
Thanks for posting this, peach!

Thanks for the ping....

I was listening to my local talk show host a few minutes ago...and he said he had on talk show host Glenn Beck on with him earlier this morning...

According to Darrell Ankarlo....Glenn Beck said that if the Marines did this...we should turn them over to the Iraqis and let the Iraqs use THEIR kind of justice on them....

jeez louise, some people are making me crazy with their emotional reaction....without even any charges.

There is just SO many of these "facts" that just don't jibe with the "story" we have been told....

Please keep me informed on any new news or threads, okay, pissant.

I will do the same for you.

Boy...I have GOT to quit taking other people's word for things...

When I posted to you earlier about what Glenn Beck said, RE: my local radio host...

Well...I am listening to Glenn Beck now...and he has spent the whole first part of his show talking about how rough it is over there...and how he will always give the Marines the benefit of the doubt..and presumption of innocence...and will wait.

So...whether he did say to Ankarlo what I heard...there is a LOT more to it...so far.

I am going to finish listening...
