Former Marine Foils Armed Robbery

An ex-Marine pulled out a pocket knife after five people, including a young girl, allegedly tried to rob him late Monday evening in Midtown. That girl died.

Another one of the alleged assailants is in critical condition.

Investigators are calling the case one of self-defense. They say no charges will be filed against the victim in the case.

No reason why he can't have a GA CCL if he's a GA resident and has no felony record. It isn't hard to get in GA and the cost is low. The restrictions are not good because the CCL law's language is so muddled that a cop or a judge can use his own discretion as to whether or not you are carrying in a prohibited area. Outside of the Atlanta I-285 perimeter most cops and local courts are not anti-gun, and I have never had a problem carrying wherever and whenever I think I need to.

There really are not very many "trained" blade fighters. Marines are trained very well on mindset, aggression and winning. That training undoubtedly carried him on to the win against these scum moreso than a day or two or three of knife training that he had received.

Contrast how this person fared versus a couple of guys oblivious to an attack.  Always be checking your surroundings and react accordingly to potential threats.

I have seen a master at work and it is absolutley amazing what they do. Aggression in a knife fight can get you killed if your opponent knows what they are doing.
