Not saying it is true or not, but if it is, it was bound to happen. This is what happens when you use men and machines of war to do things other than what they were trained to do. It saddens me as a warrior from that other war we fought with one hand tied behind the back. While I feel bad for the innocents killed I also feel bad for the Marines who were put in the situation. Not justifying it at all. Just feel old, deep, bad feeling.

<< It saddens me as a warrior from that other war we fought with one hand tied behind the back. >>

And which one would that be?

Considering, that is, that you have described every war in which we have engaged since Foggy Bottom and Marshal and the other cravenly cringing cultural communists took over and ran all wars since 1945.

Not a single one of which, despite that in all of that time our Magnificent Military's Men have never lost a battle, was won by the United States of America.

Agree with your statement. Our military is the finest in the world......but.....they are fighting terrorists in Iraq and Afghanistan, the demagogery of the democrats and the the mainstream media, and the ever-increasing memory loss of the American people as well as the indifference of the American people. The left is relentless in its pursuit to discredit the military. The dems and MSM are more than happy to attack our military, the commander-in-chief, and the national interest to further the democrats political ends.

I think we are at the edge of throwing in the towel. The attention span of America has atrophied to the point that the incessant assaults of the left is taking a toll.

What have we learned? I believe the next military excursion, if it is necessary should determine to resolve the hostilities within 6 months. Beyond that the Americans will turn on their own. It should be a campaign of massive bombing, perhaps even tactical nuclear devices to demonstrate overwhelming destruction. But that will not be tolerated by the left either. So, that leaves us completely vulnerable to attack by islamofacists. Our apathy places the US citizen at great risk. If 9-11 is not singularly enough to remind us constantly, will a greater infliction of pain on America stay with us longer? I don't think it will.
