Here I have a strong suspicion that some of the victims were among the enemy. Especially since the event that preceded the killings was a roadside bomb which killed one American and wounded two others.

The women and children killed are definitely a difficulty but are we sure they were killed by American soldiers? No solid facts at this point.

While the incident, IF TRUE, is of COURSE a horrible CRIME, it must be said that EVEN during WAR, the UNITED STATES of AMERICA punishes it's SONS and DAUGHTERS that are defending their nation and FIGHTING that WAR, IF they commit a CRIME!!!

It would take extracting the bullets to determine the weapons used.

I wonder how involved the children were while the Islamo-fascists were planting the IED. I also wonder just how involved the women in this area were, if for no other reason that this town is part of the Sunni controlled areas.

I wonder how many rocks were thrown at civilian contractor truck drivers and vehicle gunners when convoys passed through. I wonder how many times the women stood by while potshots are fired from behind them, as convoys pass by.

Anti-Coalition forces have had their run through this area until late last year.

I think there was a build up of activity in the immediate area before anything approaching this level of response would have been warranted. And that is IF the 'suspicions' are true.

In my 13 months in country I saw only 1 innocent woman killed.
