My memory is a little fuzzy on this but remember the hoopla over the Marine (I think) who shot an unarmed guy in a mosque? I think it was in Falujah and the poor kid thought the guy was playing dead and was actually trying to ambush them (because that happens over there). Anyway, the Marine shot the guy, who turned out to not be armed and was wounded, and all hell broke loose. The kid was cleared, turned out he had been hurt the day before but came back anyway.

It was caught on tape, but in the end even the media had to admit it was an understandable shooting (they would die before calling it justifiable). I bet in the end the same will be true here. I hope and pray it will.....
