At some point, you are going to have to drop the ridiculous defenses and insults and realize that something very bad happened here, and it appears to have been covered up. There is way too much smoke for there not to be fire. It's obvious that something very bad happened there, and that our troops offed some civilians. It's an anecdote - not the rulebook of the US military.
I contrast this situation with the willingness of the press to maintain the fiction of the "Religion Of Peace" for the last 5 years.

It's an anecdoteTell that to the dozen Marines who may be prosecuted for various crimes, including murder.
Whoever was in command of this unit is in serious, serious trouble.
