This is cool because every call to these stations saying in effect "If you play the Dixie Chicks, I'll never listen to your station again" outweighs at least 10 calls requesting to hear them. And to be quite frank, I can't see those 10 calls getting made in the first place because the Dixie Chicks SUCK!

I would like to thank the Dixie Chicks for making all these phone numbers available to us here at Free Republic. It sure does make it convenient for us!

For my part, I called WKLB in Boston and let them know my feelings. BTW, my wife and I have been supporters of WKLB since their inception. We've gone to most of their annual summer concerts and we've had their bumper sticker on our car. I let them know that too.

Internet pre-sale ticket sales to their summer tour are not going well. It's panic city for the chicks. There's a big difference between leftists dropping $10 bucks for a discounted CD and a person who will drop $50-$85 for a concert ticket. This is going to be fun to watch once the general ticket sales begin.
