However, checking out what was played on the last "New Releases Thursday" at KFOG, it appears that the PD and the "Music Director" is sticking to their guns regarding the format, and the Chicks, for now, are SOL.
Natalie Maines sings in "Nice" that she 'made her own bed and sleeps like a baby.' Now that the girls are soliciting requests despite their unprecedented hype, (60 Minutes profile, front page of USA Today, Time mag cover, two Good Morning America appearances in two weeks), maybe that's an indication she's not sleeping as well lately.
This is what baffles me. The likes of Maines, Sarandon and Robbins, Tom Cruise, Johnny Depp, and others will talk to European journalists and press outlets about their problems with America, the President, the war, or whatever as if they didn't think it would get back over the Atlantic! HELLO! They've got this thing called the I-n-t-e-r-n-e-t now, maybe you've heard of it???
Well, I hope that little cheer she got for her stupid comment overseas is enough praise to last them awhile.
Pretty "brave" to speak out like that in a nest of moonbats... Why not say how ashamed you are of the president in say, a red state?
It is. Can you get it where you are? 94.9
BTTT.
True, but at least with the Ohio stations I'm familiar with, some are country format, but many more are "adult contemporary" as well.
I thought they wanted a small audience of "cool people" who don't like Reba and Toby? Which is it Ditzy Twits?
The Nashville radio stations are one pop and the others are country. So much for them not wanting to be in the country mix!
I bet the Dixie Chicks think they are bigger than Rascal Flatts...
Only video play I've seen them get is on VH1
Not at home. On I-89, a bit further South, though.
Having to have your "fans" beg for your songs to be played does not bode well for these foolish gals.
Are they desperate of what?
And Borders is offering their CD at $6 off.
Deep discount bin by the end of June.
Lord, how pathetic!!
I'm just waiting for Jeff Foxworthy's take on these Dixie Chicks!
Wonder how many copies of the Chicks new CD are collecting dust at my favorite Wal-Mart in Red Neck Country.
Like Jeff said, we got the $9,000 stereo, but I ain't spending no more of my hard earned money buying anything these chicks are offering.
Does anyone know how well the Chick's latest album is selling? I know it is number 1 on Amazon, but it is not in the top spot at Wal-Mart. Does anyone know how to access information for overall album sales?
