I understand CBS was doing a story on the troops daily routine on Memorial Day when this tragedy occurred.

Story? Fable is a better word to describe something CBS News puts out.

I'm sure it would have been a story that would be a downer rather that uplifting. Quagmire and such.

You have no idea what the story would have been. But even if you disagreed with how it was reported these are British and Americans. Try to show a little respect for the dead. Otherwise, you and the MSM = pot and kettle.
