Actually it was 30 May for years...when I was growing up- it wasn't a 3 day weekend- it was called Decoration Day and it was 30 May- regardless of the day of the week it fell on...

My arcane 2006 calender shows May 29 as Memorial Day observed and May 30 as Memorial Day. It was always May 30 until the gov't decided we would spend alot more money if we had a 3 day weekend. Besides, everybody already knows that Google is run by a bunch of commie symps.
