Southgate was taken over some years ago by a horde of Mexican-extraction politicians and became such a totally corrupt government that even the local news media had to cover it.

We will not have to wait long.

Yeah, after inviting J.D. Hayworth to the White House to push for "resolution" of the House/Senate differences on Illegal Amnesty, Karl Rove accused him of "Having a problem with brown people."

They undoubtedly intend to say the same about Schlafly, Michael Reagan, Rush, Bill Bennett, Laura Ingraham, Hugh Hewitt, etc.

McCain essentially already is.

OMG, spoken like a liberal. Accuse someone of bigotry to force them to agree with you. Disgusting.

I worked hard for President Bush during both elections but I'm no Bushbot by any means. When I agree with him I say so, when I don't I also say so. On this issue he disgusts me. I was sickened when he became such 'good buddies' with the Clintons and now I see why.

Phyllis Schafly was born in 1924 and will turn 82 this year. The most recent generation of female conservative activists owes a great debt to her, a fact Ann Coulter has acknowledged. Her activism was the main reason that the Equal Rights Amendment was defeated in the 1970s. In the words of the economist George Gilder, "When the histories of this era are seriously written, Phyllis Schlafly will take her place among the tiny number of leaders who made a decisive and permanent difference. She changed the political landscape of her country. In fact, by the measure of the odds she faced and overcame, Schlafly's achievement excels all the others. . . . She won in part because she is one of the country's best speakers and debaters and its best pamphleteer since Tom Paine. She won because of her indefatigable energy and will power, mobilizing women in state after state."

"As far as I am concerned, ALL of the Senators betrayed us by even letting this abortion get to a floor vote. It and all of its amendment should have died a dirty stinkin' death in committee. Period."

The committee was composed almost only of rhinos and socialocrats.

Even so, the collective is responsible for 'placing' these RINOs and socialists on the committees. Yeah, Frist and the leadership and the minority leadership actually pick the members, but the collective has a say who is leader. They simply have not done their job.

We simply need REAL Conservatives in every leadership spot of America...especially over our house and senate. It's not like we can claim victory just because we have the numbers. All it takes is a bend-over status from our leaders and we go south...literally!

I think if we literally painted the Republican party with Conservative colors we could accomplish that. We're
such an odd canvas at the moment. Our enemy is
more within than anything. I'd rather we not complain about the dems (because we know what they are) and focus on cleaning up and putting good people within our own party.

I cannot disagree with anything you have said. Just once, I'd like to hear a conservative legislator say to the press, "This is not good for America, and you butt wipes are the problem!"

Or, "We are going to ship these illegals back, come hell or high water, and it doesn't matter what you say, it IS the LAW and the LAW prevails." "If you don't like it, change the law."

Perhaps that should be our goal as Conservatives. All leadership posts must have 100% Conservative rated individuals...granted MINOR exceptions in the president.

To me it really comes down to our leadership in whether or not we get things passed. Of coarse there's some really bad rhinos that must be taken out.

Is there a specific site/group that focuses on primaries and making sure our leaders are conservatives? I know the ACU gives ratings...would be nice if we had something that's accessible and quick for the common folk.
