I don't think this article is very accurate.

This article implies that the Justice department was being asked to stop the whole investigation.

The issue in question is whether the search violates some protection of the Legislative Branch from the Executive Branch. The House members are wrong, but that is still the issue.

The subpeona against Jefferson was issued more than 8 months ago, If the Legislative Branch is going to ignore this, they really should not complain about the Executive Branch (at long last) going to the Judicial Branch to get a warrant and then acting on it.

They are all pigs at the trough. Some are going whole-hog into bribery, the rest are guilty of complicity by their silence.
