Personally, I'm waiting for the trial. It will be great tv.
Honey, if this were a republican, there would be extreme outrage. I would imagine the media would be on it 24/7 demanding he resign, blah, blah, blah. But you see, this is one of the protected ones. Just move along okay? :-)
No outrage is visible because the story is surrounded by too much black democrat.
Welllllllll, he IS a low down, good for nothing, dirty, corrupt, theivin, felonious scoundral snake in the grass . . . .
But he's THEIR low down good for nothing, dirty, corrupt, theivin, felonious scoundral snake in the grass . . . just like they are . . . guess that makes him family.
It doesn't help that Hastert, who is a Republican IIRC, is on Jefferson's side. Maybe that's why there's no outrage? :)
I was wondering the same thing. The guy probably cost some lives in Katrina getting his precious goods out of there.
Later, he uses Katrina as a reason why he should remain in office. The media just lies down, won't touch him with a ten foot pole.
The Republicans (Hassert) made it look like they'd like a santuary from the laws that the rest of us have to abide by.
What in the hell was Hassert thinking?
You can not use Congress or any other place to conceal or further a Felony. This whole episode is disheartening.
But, the media has stepped up to give Jefferson a pass, ala Ray Nagin.
