So you think that EVERY man in EVERY situation is rescuable? I will go with the opinions of the people who tried, but failed to save his life.

I don't think about EVERY man in EVERY situation.  You're free to go with whom you wish.

I chose Sir Edmund's opinion.  I run out of breath DRIVING to the top of Pike's Peak.

I agree with you. The morning papers often tell of those who died trying to rescue somebody. You have to calculate your ability to do that you set out to do!
