A 30 mm Gatling gun would be over 100 caliber, has anyone ever made one of those ?

Yes, and it fires depleted uranium tank killer bullets

The gun came first then they built the A10 "Warthog" around the gun.

I agree, the warthog was often called"Oh Shik" by those it was fired upon.

But many get confused by relating Xmm to Caliber.

one millimeter= 39 thousands, 3 tenths, and 70 millionths of an inch, exactly.

In metric measurement they round up/down in relating MM to Caliber, hence...a 7 mm caliber=.284 inches.

In real terms, 7 mm= .27559 inches.

It gets cornfusing, but a 120 mm anything, is one big ash gun.
