The sleeping Giant is awake, and will be taking part in discussions all the long hot Summer on this matter, and they will get more and more angry as they see what is in the Senate bill. People are not stupid even though the Senators think they are. Tom Delay said it would be an ongoing matter for the House the entire Summer. I wish he was going to be there still,but I believe he is leaving in June.
Not long after he announced he was dropping his reelection bid and would be resigning his seat he did an interview with Rush. First of all, he sounded great, truly liberated. He also made it very clear that he would be speaking out more, not less, on issues like this after leaving office. He said he would no longer have the limitations imposed by his office and particularly his prominence as a target for the other side.
I don't think Brian and The Judge are doing such a hot job filling in for Tony. Maybe a microphone might be in Tom DeLay's future? I know I'd listen to see how he did.
