Sorry cannot have it both ways. Sen Session cannot claim he "knows" how many illegals are getting Government Assistance but cannot tell us with an assured how many Illegals are here. Earlier we were told we could not make any claims about the Economic Benefits because we could not quantify the numbers involved.

Senator Sessions never claimed he knew a number of how many illegals are getting EITC payments, just that many are. Read my post again. One is too many.

If Sen Session KNOWS how many people are collecting Govt Benefits illegally, Why are they still collecting them? In addition to Illegal Immigration that would be Welfare Fraud which we do seriously prosecute. Again, the arguments being advanced are taken on faith based on the person's personal position on the issue.

Senator Sessions doesn't know how many are collecting government benefits, but there is anecdotal evidence to show that they are. We know that illegals are using SS numbers illegally. This is fraud and identification theft. Do you think that this is not happening because we can't identify the exact number or have not prosecuted people for doing it?

Simply nonsense to make claims that x% of illegals do this or that when you cannot even qualify the total number of illegals.

As I indicated, it boils down to a willingness to enforce our existing laws. We know that employers are hiring illegals. We know that illegals are crossing our borders every day. We don't know the exact numbers, but there clearly is a problem even if we can't quantify it exactly.

Which is an attempt at intellectual fraud. You are trying to throw out these big numbers as statements of "FACTS", when they are at BEST guesses. Then you are stating those guesses AS FACTS, when they are at best estimates. That is intellectually dishonest. Added to that, the guesses are being used in the context of a debate where the clear intent is to link the guesses as justification for the larger argument. It is a very cleverly lawyer trick, it is not sound debate tactics. You cannot make statements of "Fact" that x$ are being spent by the Government on Illegals to justify your position when you cannot quantify the number of illegals.

Basically is a self serving bit of propaganda. I guess there are X number of illegals. I feel that Illegals must be getting Y amount of Govt aid, therefore since Z is the total amount of Govt spending, ZxY MUST be total Govt spending on Illegals.

All you have to do is manufacture the highest number you feel you can get away for X and Y and presto alarming dangerous sounding sound bit for the "Report" that is all based on personal assumptions and feelings, not quantifiable data.
