June 5, 2006 issue - Ever since he crossed into Mexico, José Moisés has had nothing but trouble. Now the 30-year-old Honduran mechanic is hunkered down with other young illegal migrants in a rail yard just north of Mexico City, waiting for nightfall to hop a northbound freight. He displays a pale line encircling his finger.
He used to have a ring there, he saysuntil Mexican cops slammed him against a squad car in the southern border state of Chiapas and grabbed it. "They took everything," says Moisés. "Here the Central American has no value."

A fence isn't going to solve the immigration problem from Central America.
Mexico needs to consult with Central American countries before closing their border.
Those Central Americans contribute to Mexican society and Mexico owes them benefits as a result.

curious that we don't have more comments on your post....as it is the proclivity of the US press to give the impression otherwise, one would never know that the opposite border of mexico sees illegals cross over also from central america.....ans look a the behavior of mexical officials when they catch those 'immigrants'.....
The CA illegals are just passing through on the way to the US. The Mexicans don't want CA's competing with their citizens for jobs in the US. The guy is lucky he lost a ring and not his life.

Mexico has it right here. They don't coddle Illegal Alien criminals.
