Translation: Way back in 1996, when I thought that the real Hell (not the one Michigan) would freeze over before a Republican would ever be elected Maryland governor, creating thousands of PATRONAGE positions to fill with our cronies seemed like a good idea. We could easily find jobs for our relatives, fat cats and mistresses on the state payroll. Now that a stinking Republican is in charge and has fired some of our incompetent hacks, it doesn't sound like that good of an idea. Oops!
