I've been there. I've seen it. The caribou will be fine. We need the oil. Not a single soldier's life will be in danger protecting this oil supply.

The proposal has been defeated more times than Carter has pills, but it's back again, believe it or not.

We also need to drill of the coasts of Florida and California. The precious coastlines will be just fine!

We in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, Ohio, California to some extent, and Alaska have been doing our part to provide energy (oil & natural gas) for this nation. Florida and California need to step up and do their part and allow offshore drilling.

Florida in particular is so worried about its tourist industry. I can tell you that if gas prices stay up, I certainly will not provide Florida or California with my tourist dollar. My tourist dollar will be going to pay for my travels in Arizona, New Mexico, and my state of Texas!

Gulf Shores and Orange Beach, AL charter boat owners love having the rigs to take their customers out to. Nice snapper. Really nice snapper.

I know, I never thought I would be sitting here feeling about Bush the way I do today. I am completely floored.

These events are even making me question the real reasons why we're in Iraq. I have been behind Bush 110%, now I can't explain away the behavior with immigration and the support of these RINO's.

I see nothing but a snow job in front of me.

Even a RINO is better than those liberal-anti-American-Democrat-commies.

With any luck we will replace a few with conservatives next Nov.

"Can someone help me here? How in the Hell are we going to weed out these Republican senators? "

Defeat them in the primaries. Grass roots.

This isn't a good deal.. I'd rather have the border SHUT than have ANWR open...

Can we possibly dream about having BOTH?

It is simple. The GOP is off the deep end and they are going to pay like old man Bush. For you Bushbots who would vote for McCain. You are all a bunch of idiots.

We have properties on both of Florida's coasts, and we support offshore drilling. The fact is that senate Republicans are cowards who care more about what Democrats and the media think than they do about what their constituents think. Martinez, in particular, is pathetic.

I smell an unwanted day of reckoning coming in November and the American public will pay as usual.

It's one thing to dislike Democrats for being the phony baloney they are but it's entirely satisfying to down right despise Republicans who have gone over to the dark side.

What makes you think any Bushbot would want ANYTHING to do with McCain???

I am a Bushbot, and I think McCain is the worst GOP Senator we have, except for maybe Specter.

I'm hoping McCain is not the choice.....but if it comes down to him or a liberal McCain has my vote. I'd prefer his SCOTUS pick over ANY liberal pick.

Hopefully it will never come to that choice

If ANWR has so much oil, the next question is how much will the US export to other countries instead of keeping the oil at home to reduce the price.

DeWine just won his primary with 74% of the vote.

The RINOS are there permanently, because incumbency will always win over principles. That's just the way it works.

IMHO....there's a reason why there is bipartisan opposition to drilling in anwr or anywhere. It's not environmentalism but rather someone has decided it's ok to rely on foreign oil - until the mideast and our wallets our empty.
They can always drill here later when it's worth more. You can't just blame enviro's and rino's...no conservatives ever make a fuss or press the issue, it's never part of the debate. No drilling, no refineries, lots of grades to make. Now we're told we're addicted to oil, conserve, etc - everything but drilling (and nuclear energy of course).
Didn
t they spend $25 billion 'researching" synthetic fuels?
Again, anything but drilling.

We need to revive term limits for the senate.

Some RINOs can be replaced with real conservatives but not all of them. You have to persuade the voters to elect you. So better candidates will help to a certain extent but just having the candidates alone is not enough. The problem is the way the voters in some of those states think. Gots to haves the votes. So there has to be a major effort to reach these people at the grassroots level to educate them about conservatism to overcome their prejudices and biases.

Have you considered its easier to sit out of power sniping at the leaders, that it is to actually lead.

I remember when the Republican took control of the House in 1994, they had to start voting for increases in the debt limit.
