>If people really support these LIBertarian parties... it will be...

The Constitution Party is not like the Libertarian Party. The CP is very conservative on social issues. They oppose illegal immigration.

If some vote for candidates outside the Rep. Party, it's because Congress and the President moved left. I will vote CP if the republicans don't move right soon.

Hi coffeebreak... cool name,

"I will vote CP if the republicans don't move right soon."

As is your GOD given right. I guess I am being taken wrong, and that is my fault. I will try to make my point more clearly.

I look at any third party, and I see years of truly backbreaking work to get candidates on all 50 State's dockets, to build from the ground up a powerful party machine, attain huge amounts of funding to buy airtime, jet and bus rentals, millions of dollars for ad agency charges, paid advisers, grass roots activism, and get some candidates elected to at least "some" National offices. Then you can start to have an effect, as a party, on the outcome of the management of America.

That is all well and good, but we have today in the Republican Party, Elected Conservatives that think Conservative, vote Conservative, and eat, drink, and sleep Conservative. You see their actions in today's power-plays. We have a segment of our Party that wants to drag it to the left (and no, its not the President), such as exSpectorant, mcLame, chaffe, snowe, graham, and collins to name a few. The dims are far too dangerous for years of developement time, and we need to confront them hard this November.

It is far easier to get involved by letting those elected under our Party banner KNOW that we are not satisfied with their actions on many fronts... not just immigration. We can back Conservative Republican Primary candidates over Rinos, and we can write and call Rinos that have large support and will not be easily defeated. Get involved at some level and push to the right. You will gain more, and it will not take years to see the effect. Conservatism works whenever it is tried.

WE are NEVER going to completely agree 100% on all issues. As Rush says, "Being Conservative is not a monolithic thing". We need to "talk" to each other about disagreements, and try to form some type of consensus. As long as we keep America trucking in the right direction (notice I said RIGHT direction), we ALL will win "some" of what we want.
