Two words:
Runoff elections
I need to know that I'm not electing demokkkrats when I vote for a third party candidate. Until then, it will never happen. We need runoff elections, i.e. a guarantee that nobody will ever hold a public office with less than 50% of the vote, and that nobody will ever need fear to vote his first choice, at least on a first ballot.

Not all local elections are run offs.
No all local elections are even partisan.

Well I am sorry to hear some Freepers are so filled with foaming at the mouth rage at all things political that anything rational or factual doesn't matter to them. Amazing how many "Conservatives" are just as much about "Get even with themism" as the Hate America Left. Really must be unpleasant to be so spiteful.
Doesn't change the fact that cutting off one's political nose to spite ones political base, or in this case actively working to help your political foes win over your political allies. is really, really DUMB tactics
