His was a powerful intellect expressing the antithesis of racism. That the "Politically Correct" have removed these stories depicting a rich and sophisticated side of black culture from the literature IS an act of racism. And look what black culture's been replaced with--ghetto gangsters as predatory and malicious as Br'er Fox.
Looks like Disney's "Song of the South" still is locked in the Disney vault. I remember seeing it on the big screen in the eighties, but I was way too young to pick up on any racial subtexts.

Gypsies were of Indian/Paki descent, and spoke a kind of Sanscrit and I don't think were Muslim--AAMOF, their entrance into Europe may well have predated Mohammed. The tribes linger here and there. One's on the border of GA and SC--a dangerous place to hire contractors. I used the term "gyp" as often as I please. You'll never find a gypsy who'll act offended, because that'd identify him as a Gypsy, but you might find a lib who pretend to be offended for him.

(They can't privatize Social Security but they can find a way to give it to illegal aliens...)
