That depends on what happened. Not even Patton would overlook everything. All the details I've seen are from the papers. Let's wait and see. I want to be able to say the messengers are dead wrong. So I'll wait a while.
That's the problem with all of today's "leaders", they are simply paid employees with no personal interest in success nor penalty for failure.
The reason, I have come to believe, is because true leaders - rightly or wrongly - have judged our culture as unworthy of leadership. Why volunteer to advocate for any group of degenerates when all you get is grief for it? This may explain why Reagan was our last great president: he saw goodness in America, and though we were undeserving of his rescue - he loved us anyway.
I personally can't blame these "true leaders" who I theorize about. They have no love, instead righteous contempt, for a nation that exists based on its dual and conflicting identities of Oprah Winfrey and "hip-hop".
That is not a moral failing of silent leaders, in my opinion -- it is John Galt taking his ball and going home with it.
