My favorite musician cameo was on SNL. It was an "Olympia Cafe" ( "Cheeseburger. Cheeseburger" ) sketch. At the start of the sketch, the owner ( John Belushi ) immediately gives a customer from the counter the bum's rush out the door. It was Mick Jagger. The Stones were the musical guest that night.

Let's see who remembers this. There was a British comedy called "The Goodies" back in the late 60's early 70's. John Cleese had a pretty good cameo on that show. He appeared as a genie that pops out of a lamp. If I remember correctly he appears in a suit, sitting behind a desk and gives his "And now for something completely different" line. He then looks around and realizes what show he's on and yells into the camera, "KIDS STUFF!!!" and vanishes.
