John McCain was a war hero. These Democrats need to realize that if it were not for people like him, they couldn't stand up and make their ridiculous protests.

John McCain was a war hero.

I forget - - who did he rescue? How many fellow warriors did he save? What other heroic deeds did he accomplish? Thanks.

Yeah, he won the war by himself. Oh, that's right, we lost.

Good evening.
"John McCain was a war hero."

What makes one a war hero? Plenty of soldiers do their duty and some go beyond duty. This weekend is supposed to honor those that gave it all.

The two Delta Force troopies that willingly gave their lives to try to save the downed Blackhawk crews in Mogadishu were certainly heroes.

Any warrior who gives his life for his brothers fits the bill, as does any soldier who tries to complete the mission even when there is no hope of success.

There have been many brave POWs who charlie miked even in the face of torture, sickness and despair and never gave up. They are damned sure heroes.

Does just serving make you one, no matter how brave you are? Do medals make you a hero? john kerry has those.

How about Murtha and kerry's buddy, Max Cleland?

McCain is labeled a hero and we are supposed to overlook the harm he does us because of it. Should we?

What made him a "war hero?" He survived years of horrible captivity at the hands of the North Viets, but he himself does not consider himself a hero. In fact, he was induced to record and anti-American radio address while still in captivity. I think he is a dangerous guy and his pro-illegal immigration stance tells us what kind of idiot he really is. He can never be elected to the presidency!

And everyone else needs to start realizing that simply because someone does something at one point in one's life, that doesn't give them a perpetual mulligan politically!

McCain's a hero! Fine! But he's a self-servant now and as such he's open to the same criticism that everyone else is. In the meantime, we've heard this all before. It's long past, he's fine, and he's got millions coming at the hands of taxpayers when he retires. I think that's more than enough to get his a$$ doing what's right for the nation for a change instead of once again having to "be cut slack" due to his socialist views and votes that are near treasonous!
