Huge government ping!
Terrible idea!
Newsflash, Sherlock. It's not the legal workers we're concerned about.
Wearing a blue dress.
"U.S. workers"...the fool isn't concerned a bit about ILLEGALS.
the biometric aside - we need a better social security card in this country. one with at least some minimal security behind it. the current social security card is a joke.
Sounds like 'Big Brother' to me. I don't think Bloomberg has ever had an idea I agreed with.

how do you determine who is legal and who is not?

This guy needs to fall in a manhole or something.
that is not the issue here.
your SS number is the basis for employment, banking, credit, a whole host of other things in this country. and it consists of nothing more then some numbers on a blue card, that anyone with a PC and a laser printer can duplicate. its totally useless as a method of authentication.
In just a juste a couple years we will have a national ID card via the Real ID act. It won't be mandatory at first, but without it, you can't do limited functions such as boarding planes or entering certain federal facilities. Mark my words, it will become mandatory in the not too distant future.
He's bored and just mouthing off looking for a larger stage. Once the NYC economy hits a speed bump he'll get back to work.
Don't need the flimsy card....just the digits...have not seen nor used SS card in 30 years....
Eventually it will happen, its almost inevitable if we stay on our current course. Our citizens are pretty much asleep at the wheel while government grows out of control at the will of the political class continually building their power base.
Where have all of the smaller government conservatives gone?
I agree with you totally. It needs to be more than just a piece of paper.
I lost mine 20 years ago
he goes onto the john gambling show every friday, and gambling asks him alot of broad questions about the hot topics of the day - and he gives his opinion.
