Sources: NSA leak probe includes Congress
CNN ^

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- The FBI wants to interview top members of Congress from both parties about the leak to The New York Times concerning the National Security Agency's domestic surveillance program, sources told CNN.

The Capitol Hill newspaper Roll Call first reported that the FBI wanted to question federal legislators as part of its probe. The sources do not know if any members have been interviewed yet.

The FBI declined to comment.

The New York Times in December reported the existence of the surveillance program, which allows phone calls between the United States and overseas to be monitored without a court warrant so long as one party is a terror suspect. It was authorized by President Bush shortly after the September 11, 2001, attacks.

Only a few members of the House and Senate were briefed on the NSA program before it became public.

If there is a link to a member of the House or Senate, they'll just pin it on an overzealous staffer, as usual.

They can start with Rockefeller and move from there.

He has a history of spilling the beans to the detriment of our military and national security.

You must be misinformed. A bunch of the posters on this thread have already convicted Congressman Hastert. :)http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1637747/posts

"Mr. Rockefeller, this is your cellmate, Tyrone."

LOL! I guess Bubba was released....or he already has a cellmate? I'm guessing Tyrone will rename Mr. Rockefeller, "Rocky".

Rumor is its Hillary...Pass it on!

Yep, that is what my FBI sources are saying. Perhaps we can get ABC to do a story on it.

LOL! I can go for that! Hilly was behind the Rocky memo, no doubt. But I think the prime target is Rocky on this one. Notice how he has been missing from the Senate lately? I know, he had back surgury..but the silence from his staff is interesting.

HA!!! Fat chance....ABC only does stories against republicans, and then hopefully they get sued for malice and/or slander, or whatever.

"Just send the FBI to do a thorough search of Mr. Hastert's office."

For junk food wrappers and pizza boxes? He doesn't write or vote on legislation. His job is to talk to the Senate and the Executive about what the House is up to. And talk to other agencies and stuff. And eat and attend speaking dinners so his wife doesn't have to cook for him. Gingrich got fat too as Speaker. And oversee 435 people that are currently acting like sub-humans.

The first 200 posters on that thread should no longer be on FR. That was a disgrace.

Great news. They can start with Rockefeller and move from there....

...to Dick Durban, and then the rest of the leaking current and former Democrats on the Senate Intelligence Committee.

Hey, I was in the first 200. Can I appeal to not be banned if I was flamed on for my post? :)

There were two types of people on that thread. There were the "Boy this sucks" types and the "Fry 'em all. I knew that RINO was crooked. He's got beady eyes." type.

I have definitely seen worse here, though.

Just the thought of Nancy Pelosi on the "Intelligence" Committee makes me weep for our country.

She goes from the "intelligence" committee to Minority Leader....

that makes me fear for our country.

Well..the timing of the Hastert outrage was great...the House is adjourned until June 8th...

They all can back up the U-hauls and rent a storage unit somewhere and STILL have time to travel the world on OUR money...spreading cheer and treason.
