Kyl: Immigration Bill is Critically Flawed
Senator John Kyl's Press Release ^ | 5/25/2006 | Andrew Wilder or Ryan Patmintra,

Posted on 05/25/2006 6:09:38 PM PDT by petkus

This paragraph is near the end of the Press Release but it should give you an indication of how the Senate is abdicating our sovereignty to President Vincente Fox?

==================================

“A final provision the Senate adopted, despite my objections, was a requirement that before the United States construct any fencing along the border, we would have to consult with the Mexican government. Is this what the American people have in mind when they demand we secure the border? I can’t believe it.

McCain -- 'Well, I was totally against it but had to vote 'aye' knowing it was going to pass so I could move to re-consider.'
'And . . . . .?'
'The dog ate my motion.'

Not much. .....but those RINOs would look considerably more at home with a D in front of their names than Feingold would look with an R in front of his.

To Umgud: "So why do we need a fence? The senate is gonna let everybody in thru legal checkpoints now anyway."

...I am sad to say that you have an excellent point.

Yeah, I think I'm going to start using the phrase "Juan Williams Republicans" from this point forward.

Of course Martinez voted for that...he is our Republican Senator. The same on who has scrubbed his website in the last 3 or 4 days of anything that had to do with Immigration from his 04 campaign. One article use to say this:

"I support a plan that matches workers with needy employers without providing a path to citizenship."

You can't find it on the Melforsenate.org site anymore but you can see it here at

http://www.melforsenate.org/index.cfm?FuseAction=Issues.Detail&Issue_id=36&IssueCategory_id=1

Don't bother calling him about it...they know and they are in coverup mode.

Thanks for the heads up, I'll tape the repeat.

I'll take my joy where I can find it, which obviously isn't in pride of my Senators. Watching Linds dismantled will be worth some amusement.

"Pa, he's hittin' me again!"

"You bwaz don't quit yer rough housin', ahm gunna whip ya till ya look like a Senate immigration bill--ya hear?"

The room went silent: two marble statues at the supper table. For the first time ever, the boys finished an entire meal without exchanging a word. Pa, in much higher spirits, asked, "Say, yer Ma was telling me about this book she picked up. Couple a Tennessee Williams plays. Jem, reckon you could read 'em later on? Sounds like a might fine story."

Frist was on this list earlier, but now he's not. How did he vote? And if Frist voted for, was there some procedural reason (valid excuse) that he did?

Actually Frist may have voted for the immigration bill instead of just the consultation amendment.
