Yep, but DeLay was pretty much forced to resign anyway. The real irony of this is perhaps he wouldn't have needed to if Hastert had only had the spine to stick up for him...like he's doing for Jefferson.

Exactly so, but then, that would have been contrary to the rules that the House GOPers had passed, demanding that any GOPer, who had such "problems", HAD TO resign from his/her chairmanship.

Of course, the damned Dems have no such rule.

LOL, I'm so confused! Didn't Delay resign when that Prosecutor in Texas accused him and he felt he could not fight it while in Congress?

Didn't Abramoff already say he had nothing illegal on Delay?

Hasert, Newt and Frist all are complaining about the FBI, passing up ANOTHER opportunity to charge the Dems, why does the right continue to try to please their enemies?
