For the most part, during the last six years Hastert has not acted like the Speaker of the House...he's allowed the Democrats to ride rough shod over him way too much.

It's only been since his name came up with the Senate immigration bill that some people even knew he was alive. Prior to that no one ever praised him for anything...when anyone even remembered who he was.
