I would be surprised if Al or Hillary run for President in 2008, and shocked if either got the nomination. The Dem base are tired of losers (Al) and Hillary is not electable nationally... no matter what Dicky Morris wishes. And Climate Change will NOT be the pivotal issue in 2008!

Your comments have that "ring-of-truth". I think you nailed it!

I have got to disagree with you here. Methinks that Hillary is too far to the "right" for whatever is left of the loony left. Feingold, et al is just a bit too left for even the loony left to think that brings victory.
But Al, Good Old Al, having had an election stolen from him and just playing the right doom and gloom scenario, he's just the right kind of bear for the scattered dems in 2008.
He frightens me far more than any other candidate in a D vs R race.
He's got the "It was stolen from me once" appeal.
He's got the historically possible replay of a sympathetic crowd (remember Nixon) to win at a later date.
I'd rather see any than him nominated.
Just my Opinion...........

Brit Hume stated tonight, that the daily kos voted 68% to back gored-head for the nomination. hildebeast got 3% of the vote! foolsgold got the second place nod.
gore/foolsgold 2008... man that is a wonderful target rich environment!!!
Leftists want gore, and the leftists are the center (heart) and bank of today's dim party. gore just may get another shot, and sending him to hell once and for all will be delightful!

The Dem base are tired of losers (Al) and Hillary is not electable nationally Almost right ;-) Hillary will try for the nomination as she has too much money and too many yes-men around her telling her how wonderful she is to not to, but will get out early. She is simply not likeable enough to win - an essential quality for any politician and that will quickly become apparent. And as you say, Gore is damaged goods.
