What an utter disconnect from the people and the Constitution.
I've never been impressed by Hastert. Now I actively dislike him.
A Rat is caught at a perfect time for us. It's one of the few bits of good news we have. It puts the alleged Republican corruption into perspective. It muddles the Rats' message. And a Republican "leader" comes to the crooked Rat's defense and steals the headlines we were getting. He also manages to demoralize the base even further. No wonder we can't govern. Now wonder we lose
even when we "win."
Nice job, you fat, dumb fart. You always looked and sounded stupid. Now we know that you are.
For me it's not about getting an upper hand, rather, it's the fact he's trying to get congress declared off limits to law enforcement.
It reminds me of the terrorist in Iraq hiding in Mosques while using them as shelter for planning their attacks.
The constitution is clear that the executive branch can go after congresscritters when a felony has been committed. Unless Hastert is saying that the bribe was part of congress official business, he doesn't have a leg to stand on. Maybe congress was conducting their own sting operation...but then that would be unconstitutional as they don't have executive branch powers...so either way Hastert is wrong.
Throw the bums out! But the only real way to do that is to get gerrymandering changed to make seats competitive.
Hasert was also the Fat Idiot who stopped Mike Pence from doing some budget cuts.
It's not called "The Stupid Party" for nothing. I'm starting to believe they want the Rats to win in November.
