Meet "Jessie MacBeth." He's the latest cause celebre of the anti-war Left -- a "former Army Ranger and Iraq war veteran" who accuses his fellow troops of committing a litany of atrocities against innocent civilians.

This is tried at least once a year. Insanity prevents the perpetrators from realizing that it never worked before and is never likely to ever work... not in 2006, certainly.

Of course, if it is done entirely to massage their private circle j*** and to create urban legends that will live forever going from insane mind to insane mind...

I guess it serves some purpose, twisted though it may be.

This type of lie is intended to feed those like the guy in Seattle with a huge sign on his house that reads, "100,000 innocent Iraqis dead. Do you feel safer?"

Utterly bull. The 100K innocent has been debunked so many times you have to live with your head zipped up in a garment bag not to have heard it.
