I don't think it is very Idiotic - Polls are showing 3 to 1 that Americans favor the House passed Bill of strong enforcement and no amnesty, yet the Senators are just doing what they please and ignoring the people's wishes !!!
Why stupid? I think Hastert proved his point yesterday with his protests about the FBI raiding Jefferson's office.
Our representatives are out of touch with the American People, since this is a Republic and not a Democracy they are taking our votes and governing according to their drummer, not ours, and it's prefectly legal.
