Ok Tancredo haters and Bushbots, tell me exactly how this so called guest worker program can work now? It's not even feasible until 2011. The only shame is that Tom hasn't talked about this GAO report more in media interviews.

We all know the "guest worker" program of THIS president is BS....a way to make legal the invasion of America by Mexicans. America is being sold for politicians' votes.

Conservatives in Congress want a bill that will punish employers who disregard our laws and hire illegals, because it is not fair to other employers who do play by the rules.

Conservative Congress members do not want the excessive cost to grant amnesty and do not want taxpayers to be burdened with the trillions it would cost to implement an amnesty program nor do they want 100 million more illegals overcrowding this country.

If you are a Conservative or claim to be a Conservative answer this why would you want a tax increase or why would you go along with liberals and want the illegals to stay and be rewarded with welfare programs?

That is the one thing that I dont understand from those that attack us calling us hysterics and all sorts of names all
because we want border security, NG on the border, and do not approve of welfare programs for the illegals nor do we want additional tax burdens, we do not want our social security numbers stolen by the illegals, and because we voice our concerns we are referred to as border hysterics?

What about Border security, protecting our identity and refusing to support welfare programs like the liberals do is hysterical or hate mongering as some would say?
One accused me of thread jumping spreading "hate" because I refuse to compromise and do not want illegals stealing our identity,or jobs or welfare.

Conservatives like Sessions, Hutchison, Cornyn etc are fighting the battle by themselves against the Rhino's and the liberals and need support.

Why would we support these leeches who invaded this country and allow them and Fox to demand and defiantly tell our Congress what laws we will pass for them?

(raybbr playing bushbot) Well. If it's not feasible to do both then we should go to the day laborer sites and pass out American passports and citizenship papers. Then we can worry about securing the border. I mean, if we can't pay for both let's eliminate the paperwork and let them have it.

You guys are just a bunch of whiners.

(Back to the real raybbr)

The "new America" was planned a long time ago. The numbers were allowed to accumulate to such a large amount that it would preclude any attempt to deport them all.

THE "NEW AMERICAN"

We are now one of the largest Spanish-speaking nations in the world. We're a major source of Latin music, journalism and culture.

Just go to Miami, or San Antonio, Los Angeles, Chicago or West New York, New Jersey ... and close your eyes and listen. You could just as easily be in Santo Domingo or Santiago, or San Miguel de Allende.

For years our nation has debated this change -- some have praised it and others have resented it. By nominating me, my party has made a choice to welcome the new America.

As I speak, we are celebrating the success of democracy in Mexico.

George Bush from a campaign speech in Miami, August 2000.

You can read the speech here.

Here is an excerpt of a good critique of that speech:

In equating our intimate historic bonds to our mother country and to Canada with our ties to Mexico, W. shows a staggering ignorance of the civilizational facts of life. The reason we are so close to Britain and Canada is that we share with them a common historical culture, language, literature, and legal system, as well as similar standards of behavior, expectations of public officials, and so on. USCIS is still working off the backlog of the 1986 amnesty, according to a report that Lou Dobbs aired! The Senate needs to have their noses rubbed in this GAO report, should it ever see the light of day. The more one learns about the immigration mess, the more insane the Senate bill appears. That's why the all-fired rush for Jorge to get his bill passed out of the Senate by Memorial Day, after happily watching the invasion on the southern border for FIVE YEARS. Our only hope is that the House will not cave. All patriots must stand up and support the only branch of government that seems to understand the implications to the future of the country if this ghastly Senate/White House bill becomes law.

You know, if those who continually bash others on this board put that energy into solving this problem, more than likely We wouldn't be discussing this now. Focus People!
