Isn't taking a $100,000 bribe a felony?

Hastert isn't concerned about Jefferson's arrest for bribery.

He is concerned about the protection of papers of Members of the House from the Executive.

The Privileges of the House, established centuries ago in England in fights- real fights- with the King, are at stake.

Though it seems to me that the efforts "SE Mom" related from Byron York are impressive and possibly sufficient, Hastert has cause for complaint. It is his job to protect the House from the Judiciary and Executive.
