Well Clinton? I think he as much as flaunted it. And what about Teddy Kennedy? If everyone *knows* he is certainly not too worried about it , is he. But regardless, you get the point. Lots of people flaunt their sins. Jeez think of MArdi Gras - think of Las Vegas.

Ok.. so in your opinion they flaunted it..it doesn't change the fact that homosexuality is a sin in the eyes of God. Clinton and Kennedy will be answerable before God just like the homosexuals.

What do the Mardi Gras and Las Vegas have to do with anything? The Mardi Gras as celebrated in New Orleans isn't even a recognizable Catholic celebration anymore! The French wrote an article last year in one of their papers that they were appalled by the "American" version of Mardi Gras.

As to Las Vegas.. sheez! Sunsong, you are getting off track with that one.

No I don't see Paul as God's spokesperson. I see him, though, as someone that others can learn from as they understand his struggles and realize that they can learn from them. He said some beautiful things. I especially like those that have to do with the mind and having a loving and grateful state of mind.

St. Paul is most certainly a spokesperson for God as he was chosen by the Lord Himself to be an Apostle chosen out of time. St. Peter, St. Jude also spoke concerning Sodom and Gomorrha. You can't just pick and choose out of Sacred Scripture the passages you like best. In one post you are saying the NT isn't translated correctly, in another post you say you like some of the things said in it.

Which is it? If it's not translated right you might as well throw the whole of it out because if there's some things wrong with it, all of it is called into question.

This God of Love that you have created in your thinking, please pay attention to what He says:

"Such as I love, I rebuke and chastise. Be zealous therefore, and do penance." Apocalypse 3:19

I think we have exhuasted what we can say to each other at this point. I don't believe what you believe. I don't believe that Paul is God's spokesperson. I don't believe that the Bible was translated correctly.

We can continue saying the same things to each other, I suppose - but what would be the point?

It is a fact of living in this world that we each have to deal with people who believe very differently than we do. One of the beautiful things about America is that we are all free to express ourselves and have the freedom to practice the religion of our choice. And beyond that we can still learn from each other if we choose to.
