I also believe that people are responsble for their actions. And I believe that it is desirable to be honest, honorable, trustworthy, to have character and integrity, to do good works, to help others, to have courage, to be kind, to have a sense of humor.
All those things are part of what Love is, imo. and , of course, much more. Love is beyond what we can understand or define as humans. We can seek to be more loving, though, and to love God more and love one another more.
What you believe, and what is are two seperate matters.. you are free to believe whatever you want... but when what you believe clearly is at conflict with the writings of the faith, then what you believe is NOT what is.
"God is love" is nothing more than feel goodism, its not religion and its not theology. The teachings and words of Christ routinely blow holes in this childish notion.. and only one utterly ignorant of the Bible, both old and new testaments can grab onto such a sound bite.
