"This Valentine's Day, get her a lab coat from Victoria's Secret!"

The new fall lineup! :-)

Ah, Axis and Allies! Great game. I'm hoping to get two games that are out of print that I've heard good things about. The old 80s version of Heinlein's Starship Trooper and Kingmaker (game where you install a ruler in feudal England).

God Bless FR! In what other place could a thread bring together those interested in the Salacious and the nerds who have zero chance of going out on a date this friday (in my defense, I don't look or come off as a nerd. Still not getting a date on friday though. I guess some things just run deep).

Doesn't everyone?

I think most stay in the closet. :-)

that is pretty cool. i drag my wife to these things from time to time she is more of a passive fan but she gets weirded out by seeing some of these convention goers especially when she gets hit on by them. again dont get me wrong there are some attractive women at these things but usually they are in the minority

The problem is that any game, no matter how well balanced, has some kind of 'trick' to it that enough hours of play will reveal.

Munchkinism* has been a bane of gaming for decades.

*If you have to ask, you're not geeky enough.

I can vouch for this as well. My Brother used to drag me to them years ago. The most that ever happened to me was a babe who was the spittin' image of Seven of Nine (Except with black hair) sat next to me at the bar.

I behaved myself, of course.

How do they work the "science" into it?

Wear lab coats during sex.

Nah... Bunny suits.

About 10 years ago, Avalon Hill was working on Thrid Reich for the PC. The last I heard, they got to the beta stage, and then it disappeared. I don't think it was ever completed, but I could be wrong.

Atomic Games developed some terrific PC war games a few years back, and I have several of them. Their Utah Beach sim is excellent, but is probably dated now. I remember I had to upgrade to a 1 mb SVGA video card to make it work!

Diplomacy is a game I always thought about buying, but never got to it. It was Henry Kissinger's favorite board game, btw.

"Science Fiction Sex" involves placebos made to look like Viagra.

That just brought out a quick series of thoughts that no one should have. Now to chew on an electric cord for a little home electroshock therapy to make those bad thoughts go away.

My favorite line from a Gor novel: "She has pleased me sexually. Beat her and then give her an extra portion at supper."

I'm pretty sure it was from Tarnsman of Gor, because that's all I managed to read, but it could really be from any of them.
