"Don't get me wrong some of the ladies are quite attractive but usually they are in the minority."
Definitely. I don't recall most guys being to discriminating, though. I was there with my girlfriend at the time and we both got hit up several times by couples and one freaky girl who had the hots for my girlfriend.

No more kinky than wearing high hells and feather boa.
Not that I'd know anything about that, of course...

I haven't played in over 20 years, but I keep the games because.....I'm not sure, but I can't get rid of them.
I have a lot of the old Avalon Hill games: Luftwaffe, Panzer Leader, PanzerBlitz, Third Reich, Blitzkreig, and Alexander. Those are the ones I can remember off the top of my head.
Third Reich never gained the popluarity of the others, I think, because it was just too much. But, it's a terrific game. As far as the most fun to play, it's hard to beat Panzer Leader or Alexander. Man, the hours I wittled away playing those in college......

This sounds supiciously similar to the lifestyle of the phlegmatic Grand Master of DarwinCentral, as it relates to his reputed collection of nubile and compliant yound women known only as "Concubines of The Galapagos."

John Norman couldn't buy publicity like this. XDI've heard that his last two novels were, "Bored of Gor" and "Gor No More".

Uh... I met my wife at one; I proposed to her at one... even assumed the traditional position to do it.

Man, that is a nostalgic post you put up there.
I also played a lot of the old AH and SSI games.
Sometimes I think a rainy afternoon and some one who knows what they are doing on the other side of a Panzer Blitz board would be pretty cool.

Hmm. I was more into the nerdy-type stuff. Diplomacy, Axis and Alllies, Federation and Empire, Starfleet Command, and Starfire. I'm a product of the PC though; most of the wargames I play are computerized versions of the older ones.
There's an excellent game called Space Empires IV that is basically starfire for PC. They're developing SE5 as we speak and it looks to be even better. But much like you, I really don't have the time to play anymore. And I never got into as serious as some of the more...colorful members of the wargame community did.

Jumping onto your topic, hope you don't mind. I have London's Burning (Battle of Britain), Stratego, BattleTech, Richtofen's War (WWI flying aces), The Korean War, Shogun (feudal Japan), and Diplomacy (pre-WWI to WWI diplomatic/military game). A nearby friend has Fortress America, which is also very good (future US being invaded by leftist world).
My favorite is Shogun, although I haven't had a chance to play my Diplomacy game yet... it is a game for up to 7 people, and I never have more than 3 people who want to play it. I have the video game version that I soon plan to try out.

lol you think that's bad Leonard Nimoy hit on my wife while at one of these things (i am being melodramatic but the whole line that went up to him he barely mumbled a hello, when my wife got up there he was very attentive asking her name etc. lol pretty funny now if only i could get Shatner to hit on my wife then i would have some serious bragging rights!)
