We are supposed to switch to blue - but it may be so entrenched in pop-culture that the Networks keep it red.

I believe, on these electoral maps, Blue has historically been the incumbent, but that was before "Red State/Blue State" took on any further meaning. We should have been Blue in 2004 as the incumbent.
