Another "anti-war fake" vet ping!
No way that pencil neck was a Ranger.
Thanks for the ping.

Hilariously CBS News, in their photo caption, called him Ron Hubbard. (As did I.)
But of course it is the infamous non-combat, probably never went to VN Sergant AL Hubbard:

Cindys Marine Is A Liar | Sweetness & Light

Since his arrest record doesn't seem to cover 1993, maybe he was in Iraq. Not sure whose army he was in though. ;-)
I was preparing to post this article so instead I'll just add some other clues people have caught from his various interviews and appearances. Hard to get away with much of anything anymore, Darn that internet !
1. Claim: Attended Ranger School.
Truth: Would be awarded the Ranger tab, worn on the left shoulder above the 3/75 scroll.
2. Claim: Attended Special Forces Qualification Course.
Truth: Would be awarded the Special Forces tab, worn on the left shoulder above the 3/75 scroll. SFQC from start to end takes about 1.5 years to complete, without any breaks. In a 11-03-2003 interview with the Eastern Arizona Courier he claims to have been home 2.5 months, making it 08-20-2003. He claims to have spent 14 months in Iraq and Afghanistan, making it 06-20-2002 when he departed for overseas. Special Forces is a total of 18 months making it 01-20-2001. Infantry combat training (boot camp) is 13 weeks, Jump school is 3 weeks, and Ranger school is 8 weeks (total of 24 weeks) making it 07-20-2000. A total of 3 years and 4 months of training and combat. If he was 19 years old in the interview then he was 15 or 16 when he enlisted. Minimum age of enlistment is 17 with parental consent. He also claims to have joined when he was 17, so the training and combat timelines do not work out. And this is if the system worked perfectly and the day he finished one school he started another, which is impossible because these schools are not collocated.
3. Claim: Fought with 3/75 in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Truth: Would be wearing former wartime service 3/75 scroll on right shoulder.
4. Claim: Wearing Special Forces shoulder sleeve insignia on right shoulder, with Special Forces Qualification tab.
Truth: No claims of being assigned to any Special Forces Group. The Special Forces Qualification tab is not worn on the right shoulder as a part of the former wartime service insignia.
5. Claim: United States Army Soldier.
Truth: Rolls his uniform sleeves inside out not authorized in the Army.
6. Claim: Combat Infantryman Badge 2nd award.
Truth: CIBs are issued during qualifying eras. The two most recent eras are Persian Gulf War, 17 January 1991 to 11 April 1991 and Somalia, 5 June 1992 to 31 March 1994. He would have been 9 years old to qualify for a second award.
7. Claim: Combat Action Badge 2nd award.
Truth: IF he was an infantryman, he would not qualify for 1 CAB, he would have had to change his MOS prior to the incident awarding the CAB. There has not been a second qualifying era to award a second CAB, so it is impossible for him to have a second award.
8. Claim: Ranger.
Truth: His beret is the correct color, but he is wearing the flash for the 1st Special Forces Group (wrong) and no distinctive unit insignia (wrong), which is required.
9. Claim: Operation Iraqi Freedom/ Battle of Fallujah.
Truth: The Battle of Fallujah (Operation Phantom Fury) began on 11-08-2004. As we read about our intrepid Soldier was at home protesting coffee prices. Operation Vigilant Justice began on 04-05-2004 and did not include elements of 3/75.
And don't get me started on the size of his font and spacing.
He's supposed to have just returned from Iraq as of April 2004, according to the ACU article.
Which is interesting, since the first charge against him was made in March 2004.
He didn't seem to waste any time.
There are several obvious conflicts in this gentlemans story:
The War the Media is Not Reporting An Iraqi Veteran Speaks Out
Apr 26, 2006
By JusticeJesse Macbeth, formerly a Special Forces Ranger in Iraq, is now active with Iraq Veterans Against the War in Tacoma, Washington. The Rangers are elite units sent door-to-door in Iraq to combat the insurgency. They were also sent into Fallujah to crush all opposition to the occupation of that city. Justice recently interviewed Jesse.
How did you end up in the military?
I grew up on the streets. I got into trouble for fighting. The same judge that Id been dealing with my whole life told me that I wouldnt have to do adult time if I signed up for the military immediately. Sometimes I kinda wish I went to jail instead. How did you become a Special Forces Ranger?
Basic training was easy for me. Growing up on the streets, I was used to running from cops. I was used to not eating for days. I got picked to go to Ranger School. What did your division do?
I was in the Third Ranger Battalion. Our job was to strike fear in the hearts of the Iraqi people. We would go into peoples houses and plow down entire families. We would interrogate people. If we didnt like the answers that they gave, then we would kill the youngest child. If they gave more answers that we didnt like, then wed move on to the rest of the family. They couldve been innocent people.
We would leave the bodies in the streets and blame it on the Shiites or the Sunnis. [In Fallujah] we were ordered to go into mosques and slaughter people while they were praying. I wont go into full detail because Im still haunted by the memories.
What was the assault on Fallujah like?
Fallujah is where we slaughtered people in mosques. We provoked the people there. Some people escaped from the mosques and saw us. We would dig holes and leave mass graves of children, women, and old men. We were ordered to let people die on the street. We were told that the Geneva Convention means nothing to us in combat. We were ordered to fire on peaceful protesters in Fallujah. Somebody threw a rock at us, and an officer said that he thought it was a grenade. Then we were ordered to fire. When its daylight in Iraq, its daylight! Nobody really thought it was a grenade.
What medals did you get in Iraq?
I got a lot. I got a purple heart. Half of them, I dont remember. I got five or six medals just for landing. I got a bronze star. What injuries did you get?
I got stabbed many times. I got shrapnel in my knee. I got shot in the back. What do you think is the role of the U.S. in Iraq?
The military is terrorists there. Soldiers thought we were going to fight terrorism, but we became the terrorists. We were told we were going to liberate the country and find weapons of mass destruction. The real aim is to have the U.S. own the country. The U.S. wants oil.How has the government treated you since you got back?
Like shit. I hate them. Im not gonna be a terrorist or anything, but I hate them. They killed my battle brothers. They used me. They messed me up. They didnt care about me. They turned me into a beast, a machine. What Veterans benefits have you gotten?
I aint getting nothing. A card and thats it.Where do you work?
Im an Iraq vet, and I work at Wendys. How did you get involved in IVAW?
Veterans Affairs told me they had no money for me. I always knew the war was fucked up, but that motivated me to say something about it. The government throws us away. They did the same thing after Vietnam. Why do you think people should get involved in the antiwar movement?
Because its gotta stop. Innocent people are getting killed. Bush says we have to stay the course and that its hard work. Bush doesnt know what work is.Anything else you want to say?
Yeah. The news here is controlled. The military lets information out that serves their purposes. We slaughtered a sovereign nation. Reporters got killed. When I was growing up, everyone thought Id be a criminal, but they were wrong. Im gonna be one of the leaders of the revolution.

Not the least of which is that the Battles For Fallujah occurred after was back and protesting at the local coffee shop:
Fallujah - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In a highly publicized attack on March 31, 2004, four private military contractors from the U.S. company Blackwater USA were dragged from their vehicle and killed. Their bodies were then mutilated and burned. A crowd of militants and townsfolk, estimated to number over a thousand, beat and dragged the burnt corpses behind automobiles, then hanged the dismembered remains from the girders of one of Fallujahs two bridges over the Euphrates River (known previously as the old bridge, but now as the Blackwater bridge and to the Marines as the Brooklyn Bridge). These acts were videotaped by journalists and broadcast worldwide. This led to an abortive US operation to recapture control of the city in Operation Vigilant Resolve, a siege of the city called Operation Plymouth Rock and a successful recapture of the city, resulting in the death of over 1,000 insurgent fighters and the loss of 92 American soldiers KIA and over 500 wounded, in November 2004 called Operation Phantom Fury.

Stay pretty George!
LOL! Look at this guy! If he was a Ranger, then I'm George Patton!
That's exactly what I thought when I saw the picture.
You beat me to it, my exact thought as soon as I saw the guy. No way.

Anti-War "Ranger" Editing History
Jessie Macbeth (the former Army Ranger who alleged horrific crimes by the US military) has removed the bogus awards from his Military.com profile.
A little too late, because Allahpundit got screenshots.
UPDATE at 5/22/06 10:02:14 pm:
And now the videos of Jessie Macbeth that were posted at YouTube have been removed. link: 230 comments "This kind of bogus shit of posting fake kudos while you stab your fellow troops in the back is a total insult to the men and women who earn the real thing with blood, sweat, toil, and tears (to steal a phrase), yet who almost NEVER blow their own horns and who just say "hey, man, I was just doing my job;" whose main focus is staying with their squads to see that they all come back alive."
Facts are easy to check now, and memories are longer.
This has been fun to watch today. It's amazing what the informed eye can see in his glamor shot and TOTALLY and COMPLETELY discredit him without even getting to his alleged story. It's obvious the blogosphere has prevailed, the film producers are backing off, Jesse is changing his Mil.com profile, and the progressives are still crying fake but accurate.
Great job all, ferreting out another fake.
