Mexican President Vicente Fox will address a joint session of the California Legislature and meet with Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger on Thursday.
It will be Schwarzenegger's first meeting with Fox since he became governor in 2003, although the two have met before.
Fox and members of his cabinet also will meet in private with Assembly Speaker Fabian Nunez, D-Los Angeles, and attend a reception and dinner hosted by Schwarzenegger, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune.
The Mexican president is visiting California to promote trade with Mexico, as part of a four-day trip that starts Tuesday in Utah and includes Washington state.
He arrives in the midst of a heated immigration debate. Schwarzenegger is mulling whether to send National Guard units to the border as part of President Bush's plan to increase security by augmenting the U.S. Border Patrol with 6,000 Guard troops.
On Friday, the Tribune reported, he will travel to Los Angeles for a meeting with Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and speak to members of the Mexican community.

Boy talk about pouring gas on the fire. This should cause a complete melt down.

Flame on, amigo. ;-)
I am sure a few folks will be outside letting Vicente know all is not well in the Occupied Zona.
He'll be in Utah, Washington and California during his 4 day visit.
Cocky bastard.
Does America have any pride left, or should we just hand the SW over to Mexico now?
Don't give our &%$#@$%* Senate any ideas.
Roughly 10 percent of Mexico's population of about 107 million is now living in the United States, estimates show. About 15 percent of Mexico's labor force is working in the United States. One in every 7 Mexican workers migrates to the United States.

our white cracker butts if you cant see it in their eyes
then you are just deluding yourself. Learn a little mexican
and listen to their conversation then you will "comprende"
and realize we are being led by foolish idealogues who have
this idiot idea that all people yearn for freedom and if we
just give them a chance they will be good citizens. Its all crap these people want whitey to die plain and simple.
Sounds like a most excelente Freep opportunity of El Presidente Fox.
Just ready to go to bed and I had to see that picture.
What an arrogant a**.
Now I'll have nightmares in Spanish.
Buenos noches !
oops, screwed up my tagline bigtime.
Man, ya gotta give this clown credit, Fox has the balls of brass monkey!
Beyond the pale!!!
oh wait...
Mark Williams from KFBK is talking NOW about getting together outside the Capitol Thursday to protest Fox

I'm beginning to believe Fox has some 8x10 glossies of W in some verrrrrry compromising positions! LOL
According to the 2000 census, there are four million Mexican-born residents of California or about one in every 8 residents. Fox is just going to speak to his constituents.
