Don't sweat it. History will vindicate his decision in Iraq.
As great (and correct) as Bush's decision was to tackle Iraq, that's how awful and destructive his decision to import up to 100-200 million immigrants into the US over the next 20 years.
The US is a great nation with untold resources and resolve, and much love for humankind in its soul.
But forcing the US to become a nation made up of HALF unskilled, no English immigrants with a leftist bent is suicide.
It absolves Mexico of its responsibility to reform ITS society, and it puts untenable pressure on US society. It will lead to balkanization the likes of which we've never seen.
No my friend. At one time, I too would have done anything for President Bush. I would have walked around the world over broken glass. I was ready, like you, to debate (and fight) for GWB's honor at the smallest insult.
But I feel this immigration proposal is wrong, DEAD wrong, and I refuse to see America turned into Mexico North with all its problems and corruption.
There is a reason America is the greatest nation on earth, and it's largely because we've maintained a balance.
Stuffing this country with people's beholden to another nation and another country will be our demise.
That's why I've turned on President Bush.
Is he a decent and caring man? Certainly.
But he is so wrong on this immigration issue, and it is too important to our nation to simply stand by and rubber stamp our own destruction.
