Bush and the establishment Republicans have given the middle finger to the base for exactly the point you raised. I say, why $upport and vote for Republicans if all you get are Democrat (=socialist) policy? Bush and the establishment have sold out the base. Why, one can only wonder but never know. my guess is that they answer to the same master (and it isn't WE THE PEOPLE).
People who think that the two parties are the same, or that the way to teach the GOP a lesson is to hand power over to Democrats for awhile, are an absolute fountain of dumb.
